2011-2012 Tuesday League

Whether you are just a beginner or a seasoned veteran with the skills of a high intermediate player (USATT rating equivalent of about 1700) this is the league for you. We have players with a variety of styles and ages, men and women, girls and boys, young teens to young octogenarians.

Each evening you can play up to three individual matches and one double’s match. So that, during each round, you are able to play up to about 30 other players with no duplication of match competition.

Each team is made up of three individuals, a #1, #2, an #3 rated player according to skill level and teams are put together by the league organizers to make them as evenly competitive as possible.

During each round, typically 8 – 11 weeks long, each team plays all other teams in the league. There are at least two rounds played during the season (October to late April or early May) and sometimes three rounds. At the end of the final round a play-off of the top four teams is held with trophies given to all members of all four play-off teams.

It’s the team concept that counts. You can be just starting out as a player and still end up in the play-offs, even maybe earn a first place trophy. Whether you do or not, you’re sure to have fun and improve your table tennis skills along the way.
